Kojo Kojo is a talented photographer and this year he shot YALI AW21 campaign "A Seamless Journey to Accra, Ghana" at the Noldor Artist Residency. We made him some questions about his work.

What brought you into photography?

I first fell in love with photography as a kid when I discovered my brother’s camera. Immediately fascinated by the flash of the light and the sound of the camera, I was eager to learn how I could capture the world around me. Always inspired by my dreams and the intent observation of the day-to-day activities of people, I believe that “everybody’s actions hold a hidden meaning or carry a secret message”.

What is the best part of your job?

I enjoy learning about the moments people go through, and what inspires them to do what they do. As I gradually became more expressive with my work, many people started noticing and appreciating my little effort and that encourages me to do more. I enjoy talking to people, learning their stories and how I can use photography to share these stories.

What's your main source of inspiration?

I enjoy sitting down and reflecting on what happens both in dream and the real world, which is my main source of inspiration.

If you could imagine building your ideal photoshoot, who would it stars and where would it be?

An ideal photoshoot would be in Ghana with Tyler the Creator, who is a talented, free spirit artist, musician, and graphic designer. As a controversial figure, his natural behavior is very intriguing and taking photos of him in that natural state would be very rewarding and interesting to many. It would help tell his story.
